ABOUT
Jason Hart is a lifelong Kansan whose upbringing in Russell, Beloit, Wellington, and Dodge City shaped his love for the people and communities of the Sunflower State. From an early age, his family opened their home to foster children, inspiring a lifelong commitment to public service and justice.
After earning scholarships to the University of Kansas for college and law school, Jason returned to Dodge City as an attorney, focusing on adoption and child welfare cases. He later served in the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office, the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecuting child abuse, domestic violence, sex trafficking, and complex multi-jurisdictional crimes. His work earned recognition as a Crime Victim’s Rights Act Champion and included national teaching opportunities for prosecutors.
Beyond the courtroom, Jason has coached youth baseball for Blessed Sacrament and League 42, performed with Opera Kansas and Ballet Wichita, and served in his church community. Together with his wife Julia, he is raising two sons and served as guardian to three additional children.
Now, Jason is running for the U.S. Senate to bring Kansans a candidate who understands their values, their challenges, and the work needed to strengthen communities across the state.
